Virtual Reality Room

What is VR Room?

The Virtual Reality Room provides a collaboration space for students and faculty to experience and learn about the virtual reality technology as a tool for education, creativity and more. For instance, virtual reality can be used to test a design concept, simulate medical scenario or discover locations in the world without any expense.

With high-end equipment from HTC Vive Virtual Reality System including headset, controllers and computers, the Virtual Reality Room will bring VinUnians the best experience with this state of the art technology.

What can you do with the VR room?

With our facilities from 3D printer to 360 camera and the training from the library, you will be able to use these devices to enhance your teaching/studying experience. Discover famous museums, landmarks, and even venture into space. But it’s not all just for fun – sharpen your academic skills with the surgery and career interview AR apps.

Moreover, after training from the library team, you will know how to conduct a classroom with VR headset and turn the whole experience into a metaverse.

Facilities

Virtual Reality headset

Virtual reality is a fascinating way to travel using nothing more than the power of technology. With a headset and motion tracking, VR lets you look around a virtual space as if you’re actually there, or play a game as though you’re in it.

360 camera

The most versatile 360 camera. You get 3 cameras in one: unreal spherical footage, HERO-style video and photos. 360 capabilities deliver amazing panoramic photos and 360 Time lapse, too. Featuring unbreakable stabilization, premium audio from 6 mics, and waterproof design, this camera maximizes WOW.

3D Scanner

A 3D scanner generates 3D scans. A scanner works like a video camera, meaning it takes shots of an object. A camera, however, makes two-dimensional stills, while the scanner captures the geometry of the object’s surface, and the shots it has made are worked into a 3D model rather than a video.

3D Printer

3D Printing is a form of additive manufacturing where a computer controlled extruder builds a model up layer by layer by selectively depositing material. This 3D printer prints with PLA (plastic) filament.

How to book a schedule to use the VR Room?
