Get articles/book chapters from Other Libraries: Rapid ILL Now Available
We are very pleased to inform you that Rapid ILL is now available at the VinUni Library, offering fast and seamless access to materials beyond our local collection.
Through this service, users can easily request articles and book chapters from partner libraries worldwide.
We fulfill most requests within just a few hours, ensuring timely support for your study and research needs.
1- What is Rapid ILL ?
- Rapid ILL is an interlibrary loan service integrated into the library system, enabling fast and efficient access to materials not available in VinUni Library.
- The system connects partner libraries in shared networks (“pods”) and automatically matches your request with available sources. Most requests are processed within a few hours, with no manual handling required.
2- When should you use Rapid ILL ?
- The marterial you need is not available in the VinUni Library.
- Requesting for articles, book chapters only, NOT for entire book.
3- How to use Rapid ILL ?

Step 1: Input the material you are looking for in the “New Search” bar

Step 2: If VinUni Library does not currently hold the material, the screen will appear as above. In this case, enable “Expand My Results.”

Step 3: Select the specific material you wish to borrow.
Step 4: Select “Resource Sharing” to use the Rapid ILL service.

Step 5: When requesting an article, required information (such as ISBN, title, and patron email) is pre-filled for you.

Note: If you request a book, you need to verify the box to acknowledge that only a specific chapter or selected pages, specified below, can be borrowed in accordance with copyright laws.

Use this field to specify the chapter or page range you wish to request.

Step 6: Check the following box to acknowledge your compliance with copyright laws.

The system will confirm receipt of your request with a confirmation message shown on the screen.

After your request is processed, you will receive an email with a download link. Please download the file promptly, as the link expires after 30 days or a limited number of views.

You now have permanent access to the requested material. The file includes a cover page confirming it was obtained through Resource Sharing.
